I know, I should have chosen a different fabric more suitable for sewing a skirt but I like the feel and colour of this thick and heavy fabric.

does this not Work?

Me (my dress form) is mounted on a heavy duty Manfrotto tripod for early video cameras (those huge and heavy ones you see on TV) with a 360 turn head. It has annoyed me for years that I could not turn the dress form easily. I will have to fix this one of these days. Now is this day… I demounted the dress form, found a screwdriver and carefully took the unyielding head apart. Inside I found a grease problem. At some point someone must have change grease and chosen an unsuitable grease. Over the years this grease had turned into a sticky toffee like substance that needed to be cleaned out. Using sewing machine oil as solvent to unstick the grease have gotten me this far. Let’s see if I can make this work…
